Meet Dr. Maro

Dr. Peter D. Maro, Jr., DMD, MS, PC

Products Magazine, for his use of advanced technologies
and procedures.

Dr. Peter D. Maro, Jr., DMD, MS is a native of New Jersey. After graduating from the Taft School in 1983, he attended the State University of New York at Geneseo and in 1987 received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.  He earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry and Masters in Oral Biology from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1992. His postdoctoral degree in Orthodontics was earned at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1995. Dr. Maro practiced orthodontics in St. Louis, Missouri from 1995 through 1997. He has been practicing locally since July 1998.

Dr. Maro is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Member of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, New York Society of Orthodontists, Ninth District Dental Society, Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and the highly respected New Conn Orthodontic Foundation. He served as President of the Westchester Shore Study Club. He has been nationally recognized by Orthodontic Products Magazine for use of the latest technologies and techniques. He has received the Top Dentist Award from Westchester Magazine as one of the areas top orthodontists.

Between College and Dental School Dr. Maro played professional ice hockey with the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers organizations. Dr. Maro is very active in the community. He has coached youth hockey for the Rye Rangers and Darien Youth hockey and is a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary which is the highest award a Rotarian can hold.  He sponsors numerous local sport teams and supports many local charities.

Dr. Maro enjoys spending time with his wife Lynne and their three children Elise, Peter III, and Christian.
